Account Manager


Job Description

The Message Broadcast Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing new business and expanding existing accounts to meet and exceed business and financial objectives. This role is a senior individual contributor with proven skills to build relationships in assigned accounts or territory.

 

Requirements

  • You will be responsible for achieving revenue goals and assigned strategic account objectives

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts

  • Represent the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers

  • Move the relationship from the initial contact phase through close, then additional upsell/cross-sell opportunities

  • Skillful in consultative selling to the prospective customer base

  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis to ensure the highest satisfaction

  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline

  • Maintain sales contacts and prospects, pipeline, and forecast information in salesforce.com

  • Forecast sales activity on a regular basis as required

  • Prepare presentations and proposals, assist with sales contracts

  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations

  • Work closely with Customer Success in helping maintain overall health of the relationship

  • Enthusiastically represent Message Broadcast’s technology and solutions with honesty and integrity

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of sales experience

  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales quota

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation

  • Requires strong negotiating, influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable in a field that combines elements of multiple disciplines (technology, marketing, etc.)

  • Selling experience to Utilities or Telcos is a plus
