Sr. Network Engineer


  • Performance and Availability: People in the Network Engineer role will be relied on to facilitate consistent network performance and uptime.

  • Problem Management: This role will be accountable for problem management including proactive problem identification root cause analysis and the creation of RFO documents for all problems involving network infrastructure or connectivity.

  • Change Management: Network Engineers will be responsible for implementing changes to MessageBroadcast’s production environment in accordance with change management procedures. This will include assessing risk and creating run books with acceptance test and back-out plans.

  • Monitoring: Implementation and maintenance of monitoring tools including hardware level monitoring as well as Network Performance Monitoring (NPM).

  • Incident Management: The Network Engineer will be responsible for top tier (tier 3) incident escalations and remediation for incidents where a high degree of networking expretise is required. The Network engineer will also be required to be part of a 24x7x365 on call rotation.

  • We are looking for an experienced network engineer to help design, build, and maintain the network infrastructure across our global datacenters.



  • Required Skills:

    • Experience proactively maintaining network availability, reliability, and performance in an enterprise environment

    • Experience installing and configuring network devices, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and F5 BigIP LTM and GTMs.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. With a proven ability to produce high quality documentation.

    • Experience with technologies that support the monitoring, backup and high availability of network infrastructure.

    • The ability to clearly analyze an incident to troubleshoot availability, connectivity, and performance issues throughout all physical and logical layers of a network environment.

    • Basic scripting skills to facilitate the automation of common administrative tasks to streamline operational duties

    • Experience developing KPIs and reporting capabilities regarding capacity, uptime, and performance of networks

    • Experience working in a 24/7 environment as part of an on call rotation

  • Preferred Skills

    • Advanced scripting skills

    • Experience supporting telecom environments, including VoiP/SIP and T1/PRIs

    • Education: Bachelors Degree and CCNP or CCDP Certification
    • Number of Years of Work Experience: 8+
